Ellen F. Herman

Ellen F. (Cheese) Herman , 78, of Center Street, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, died Monday evening, May 17, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice Care, Allentown.  She was the wife of the late Thomas M. Herman, Jr., who passed in 2010.  Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Leslie E. and Fay (Yeakel) Cheese.

Ellen was employed in the record processing department of the Mauch Chunk Trust Company, Jim Thorpe, for many years until retiring.  She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Jim Thorpe.  Ellen was a graduate of the Mauch Chunk High School, and later attended East Stroudsburg State Teachers College.  She enjoyed gardening, caring for her dogs, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors: Sons, Brian T. Herman, and Thomas A. and wife Susan Herman, all of Jim Thorpe.  3 grandchildren, Colton, Wyatt, and Angela.  Brother, Edward and wife Louise Cheese of Ocala, FL.  2 nieces, and 1 nephew.  She was predeceased by sister, Patricia.

Services: Memorial Services, 11:00 a.m., Monday, St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 Race Street, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday in church.
