Elsie M. Lindenmuth

Elsie M. Lindenmuth , 87 of Catasauqua, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest Campus in Allentown, PA. Born September 2, 1935, in Hazleton, PA, she was the daughter of the late F. Harold Thomas and Grace A. (Woodring) Thomas. She was the wife of the late Douglas D. Lindenmuth with whom she shared 58 years of marriage prior to his passing in September 2015.

Elsie was a 1953 graduate of Catasauqua High School who went on to further her education at East Stroudsburg State Teachers College, E. Stroudsburg, PA, earning her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and graduating in 1957. She then went to work for the Catasauqua Area School District as a Kindergarten Teacher for 24 years before retiring in 1997.

Survivors: She is survived by her son, Duane T. Lindenmuth and wife Robin of Slatington, PA, daughters, Lisa J. wife of Stephan Suchower of Malvern, PA and Denise L. Lindenmuth and spouse Jill Ottinger of Ambler, PA, brother, Clifford C. Thomas and wife Eileen of Bath, PA; 4 granddaughters; Paula wife of Brett Johnson, Marisa Suchower, Becca Suchower, and Jenna Suchower, and a great-granddaughter, Piper Grace Johnson.

Services: Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with her care and services.
