Emil J. Suarez, Jr.,
87, of Manor Drive, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died suddenly Thursday afternoon, September 7, 2017, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Palmerton Campus. He was the husband of Jean A. (Freed) Suarez since February 23, 1952. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Emilio J., Sr. and Anita (Alonzo) Suarez.
Emil was employed by Pencor Services Company, Palmerton in the accounting department for over 20 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Palmerton. Emil was a 1948 graduate of the Palmerton High School, and a graduate of the Bethlehem Business School. An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed baseball, bowling at the former Zinc Bowl, Haja Lanes, Palmerton Hungarian Club, and attending the ABC's yearly tournament.
Survivors:
Wife, Jean Suarez. Daughter, Betsy wife of Dale Hart of Hackettstown, New Jersey. Sons, Emil J., III and wife Kathy of Saylorsburg, Robin and wife Shirley with whom he resided, Brian and wife DeNeil of Statesville, North Carolina, Todd and wife Sandy of Waynesville, North Carolina. 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Lena Ford in 2000.
