Emma L. Suter , 91 of Bangor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Slate Belt Nursing & Rehab Center, Bangor Born July 13, 1933, in Lower Nazareth Township, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Edna M. (Moser) Rohn, Sr. and wife of the late Charles E. Suter who passed away in April.
She was a desk clerk and cashier at the Saw Mill Golf Course for seven years before retiring in 1995. Prior to that, she was a hostess and cashier at the former Howards Restaurant, Nazareth and was a cashier for the former Laneco, Wind Gap. She was a member of the Blue Valley Bowling Ladies League and Oldies but Goodies Bowling Leage, both in Wind Gap, and the Senior Mixed Golfing Grasshopper League.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Getz and wife Lianne of Sacramento, CA, daughters, Judy Barron of Nazareth, Karen Buskirk of Bangor, Susan wife of Alan Hartranft of Florida, and Linda wife of Joseph Capone of Pen Argyl, step-son, Dennis Suter, step-daughter, Donna Suter, brothers, Warren Rohn and wife Eileen, and Ralph Rohn and wife Anita, and sister, Phyllis Millheim and husband Ernest, nine grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Paul Rohn, Clarence Rohn and Earl J. Rohn, Jr., sister, Pearl Brown, and Irene Tenges.
Services: The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, Pennsylvania 18064 with Rev. Scott A. Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery, Nazareth.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, in care of the funeral home.
