Enid Giuffre

Enid "Ed" Giuffre, 75 of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away December 25, 2022, at her home. Born December 26, 1946 in Hartford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Allan Rhodes and the late Vera (Foote) Rhodes.

She graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a bachelor's degree in education. Ed remained in Pennsylvania, working at Nazareth Area School District, Binney & Smith Company, Dixie Cup Corporation, and J. Saveri Sportswear. Later, she was a sales associate and department manager for nearly 30 years with Kmart and Barnes & Noble, before retiring in 2011.  Ed was an avid reader and a lifelong learner, and she enjoyed historical novels and word puzzles. She loved decorating and rearranging her home, and she will be remembered by family and friends for her kindness, her sharp memory, and her wisdom.

She is survived by her son Mark Giuffre and wife Chandra of Muncie, Indiana, her daughter Dawn Giuffre Meyer and son-in-law Aaron Meyer of Germantown, Maryland, and her grandsons Dayton Giuffre and Christopher Meyer. Her niece Rachel Rasimas Conklin and husband Christopher Conklin reside in Windsor, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her brother, Hugh Rhodes, and her sister, Rhondda Rhodes Livingston.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Bartholomew Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth PA, 18064 have been entrusted with her care.
