Errol T. Betzenberger

Errol T. Betzenberger, 88, of Bushkill Township, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth.

Born April 23, 1937 in Slatington, he was the son of the late Robert Betzenberger and the late Sarah (Frederick) Betzenberger Roberts. He and his wife Sandra N. "Sandy" Betzenberger were married on May 23, 1964.

He was a Senior Vice President for the Second National Bank of Nazareth for many years. After retiring from the bank, he worked as Tipstaff for Judge Robert Simpson for nine years. He also honorably served in the US Army from 1960 to 1963.

Errol was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Nazareth, and a past officer of the following organizations: Slatington Lodge No. 440, F & AM, Slatington, PA, Whitfield Lodge No. 622, F & AM, Tatamy, PA, Slatington Chapter No. 292, RAM, Lehigh Valley Joshua Association, Pomp Council R & SMM No. 20, Most Puissant Past Grand Master, Hugh DePayens Commandery No. 19, Knights Templar of PA, Past Commanders and Line Officers Association, Penn Priory No. 6, KYCH, Scottish Rite Valley of Allentown, AASR, Allentown, PA, Bethlehem Chapter of Rose Croix, Coroneted 33° - 2001, Indianapolis, Pennsylvania College, SRICF, Gen. John J. Sullivan Council No. 84, Gallicantu Tabernacle No., LXXV, Mary Conclave, Red Cross of Constantine, Northeast Council No. 74, Knight Masons of the USA, St. Thomas of Acon-2006; Jordan Chapel No. 77, William Allen York Rite College No. 176, as well as a member of many other organizations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, James T. Betzenberger and wife Suzanne M. of Bath, and Lee E. Betzenberger and wife Kara G. of Allentown, grandchildren, Evan, Laura, and Jack, as well as nieces and nephew.

He was predeceased by stepfather, William T. Roberts, brothers, Robert R. "Bud" Betzenberger and Charles F. Betzenberger, and sister, Doris Buhay.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, followed by a 1:30 PM Masonic Service and Funeral Service, all on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in care of the funeral home.
