Ethel P. George

Ethel P. George, 98 of Nazareth, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth, PA. Born June 28, 1920 in Flickville / Martins Creek, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Rasley and the late Jennie (Williams) Rasley. She was the wife of the late Earl E. George, Sr. who passed away in June 1997.

Ethel worked as a blouse buttoner at the former Pioneer Sportswear in Nazareth, PA for 11 years before she retired in 1981.  Prior to that, she worked at the former Pocketbook Factory and former Toy Factory both in Easton, PA. She was member of St. John's U.C.C. Church in Nazareth. She was formerly an active member of the Northampton County Blind Association of Bethlehem, PA. Ethel was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are sons, Earl E. George, Jr., Donald R. George and wife Susan both of Nazareth, PA, James S. George and wife Susan of Macungie, PA; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Thomas W. George in 2017, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
