Ethel J. Kolnik

Ethel J. (Correll) Kolnik , 94, of Station Street, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died peacefully Saturday afternoon, August 14, 2021, at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.  She was the wife of the late Frank G. Kolnik who passed in 1987.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Haas) Correll.

Ethel was employed as a clerk and meat wrapper by the former A&P Grocery, Palmerton.  Previously, she worked as a seamstress for the Palmerton Shirt Company.  She attended St. John's Episcopal Church, Palmerton.  A member of the Mahoning Valley Golden Agers, she was also a member and past president of VFW Palmerton Post #7134 Auxiliary.  Ethel was a 1945 graduate of the Palmerton High School.

Survivors: Daughter, Frances J. wife of H. Russell Cordell, Jr. with whom she resided.  Grandson, Andrew R. of Towamensing Township.  Several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Thelma, Shirley, and Beatrice, and brothers, Clifford, Earl, Allen, and Brooks.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 23, 2021, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday in the funeral home.  Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
