Eugene E. Jacobson

Eugene Edmund Jacobson , Sr. 87 of Nazareth, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at residence surrounded by his family. Born January 6, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Morris Jacobson and the late Daisy (Zeim) Jacobson. He was the husband of Shirley (Winterbottom) Jacobson with whom he shared 57 years of marriage this past July 24, 2022.

Eugene was a career Union man with the UA Pipefitters Local #274 Jersey City, NJ. for 68 years retiring in 1998 with 44 years as a pipefitter. He proudly served his country as a SP4 in the US Army from 1955 until 1958. Eugene was a family man committed to his family.

Survivors: Surviving along with his wife Shirley are daughter Sarah Baker wife of Todd, son Eugene E. Jacobson, Jr. and wife Lauren, and daughter Elizabeth Steinmetz wife of Blair, all of Nazareth, PA, 6 Grandchildren;  Samantha Baker and Nathan Baker, Olivia Jacobson and Alex Jacobson, Julia Steinmetz and Jaron Steinmetz; sister, Mrs. Elaine Larson of Wallingford, CT along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Donald Jacobsen and wife Rosella, sisters, Bernice wife of Barrett Smith, and Ms. Marilyn Gerrity.

Services: A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday March 31, 2023 at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street Nazareth, PA 18064. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow in Clove Cemetery, Sussex, NJ.
