Evelyn E. Nansteel

Evelyn E. (Hawk) Nansteel , 94, of Mahoning Mountain Road, Lehighton, East Penn Twp., PA, died early Saturday morning, October 30, 2021, in her home.  She was the wife of the late Oliver H. Nansteel, Sr., who passed in 2001.  Born in Franklin Twp., she was a daughter of the late Earl and Ada (Beers) Hawk.

Evelyn was employed as a machine operator and assistant manager of Scotty's Fashions Co., Lehighton.  She was a member of Dinkey Evangelical Lutheran Church Ashfield, and the American Legion Auxiliary, Lehighton Post.  Evelyn was a longtime member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Survivors: Daughters, Joyce wife of Carl Kopack of East Penn Twp., and Catherine wife of Robert Croissette of Quakertown.  Sons, Robert and wife Sandra of Collegeville, Gerald and wife Sandra of Houston, TX, and Oliver H., Jr. and wife Patti of E. Penn Twp.  9 grandchildren.  11 great-grandchildren. 1 great-great-granddaughter.  Sister, Delores Reph of Lehighton.  Several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sister, Beatrice Ahner, and brother, Harold Hawk.
