Fae Alma Erney, 94, of Whitehall, died Monday, December 27, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown campus. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ralph R., in 2004. Born in Allentown, Fae was a daughter of the late C. Harry and Annette (Mintz) Eckert.

Fae was a 1945 graduate of Allentown High School and worked for over 50 years at the Bell Telephone Company. Upon her retirement, she volunteered at Lehigh Valley Hospital for several years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Club, and various PTA's in the area through the years.

Fae enjoyed her time with family and friends, traveling and sharing remembrances of her life as a child growing up in Allentown. Prior to the pandemic, Fae and her twin sister, Sylvia, had a long running puzzle club which convened weekly to chat, do puzzles and share lunch. For many years, Fae and Ralph enjoyed hosting lively pool parties at their beautiful home in Emmaus.

Dancing with Ralph, her daily swims and family gatherings were very important to Fae. Her warm smile, quick wit and ability to adjust to the changing times are just a few things she will be remembered by.
