Frances A. (Reich) Arndt,
92, of Mahoning Drive, Lehighton, Pennsylvania, died peacefully, Monday morning, October 16, 2017, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Lehighton Campus. She was the wife of the late Carl H. Arndt who passed in 2011. Born in Union Hill, Franklin Township, she was a daughter of the late Gustave and Ida (Benz) Reich.
Frances was co-owner/operator of the Arndt Flower Shop, Lehighton. Previously, she was employed as a pressor for the former Bishop Apparel Corporation, Weissport. She was a member of Dinkey Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ashfield, where she was active with the ladies aide, and served on church council. She was a 1942 graduate of the Lehighton High School. Frances was a member of the Golden Agers Group, and TOPS Group, both of Lehighton. She volunteered as a Den Mother of Cub Scout Pack #82, Lehighton, and enjoyed attending the Lehighton Senior Center.
Survivors: Daughter, Linda K. Arndt and fiancé Dr. Floriel P. Diaz of Ashfield. Sons, Rev. Gerald C. and wife Ruth of Reading, David L. and wife Elizabeth of Lehighton. 7 grandchildren, Tammy, Terri, Michael, Kristin, David A., Ryan, and Darin. 7 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Madison, Luke, Lily, Gianna, Dennis, and Tyler. Sister, Elsie Beckett of Lehighton. Brother, Robert and wife Margaret of Lititz, Lancaster County. She was predeceased by sisters, Anna, Sadie, and Lena, as well as brothers, George, and Henry.
Services: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Dinkey Lutheran Church, PO Box 250-1742 Dinkey Road, Ashfield, PA 18212. Call, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Fairview Street, Lehighton, PA 18235 and 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, in Dinkey Lutheran Church.
