Frances J. Cordell

Frances J. (Kolnik) Cordell, 79, of Station Street, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, PA, died peacefully early Wednesday evening, March 18, 2026, in her home.  She was the wife of Herbert R. "Rusty" Cordell, Jr., since June 12, 1976.  Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Frank G. and Ethel J. (Correll) Kolnik.

Frances was employed as a billing office manager, beginning at the former Allentown General Hospital.  She later transitioned to Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Cedar Crest, and then to the former Blue Mountain Health Systems' Palmerton Campus, and the former Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.  A 1964 graduate of the Palmerton High School, she later graduated from the Allentown Business School.

Survivors: Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Andrew R. Cordell, and companion, Melissa R. Arieta, of Lehighton.  Uncle, Robert Kolnik of Walnutport, and several cousins.

Services: Memorial Services, 12noon Monday, March 30, 2026, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 11:00 a.m.-noon Monday.  The Interment is private.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com.
