Frances J. Minar

Frances J. Minar, 71, of N. Catasauqua, PA died on Monday, February 18, 2019, at Phoebe Home in Allentown, PA.  Born August 21, 1947 in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph Minar and the late Ann (Farkas) Minar.

Frances was last employed by the former Leader Nursing Home, Bethlehem in housekeeping for two years before retiring.  Prior to Leader Nursing, she worked for the former Key MFG., Northampton, PA as a sewing machine operator for 9 years.  Prior to, she worked as a waitress for Twin Lakes Country Club for many years.  Before that, she started her working career as a sewing machine operator for the former Cross Country Clothes-Egypt, Whitehall, PA until its closing.  She was a faithful member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton, PA.

She is survived by a daughter, Joely A., wife of James J. Boyle of Northampton, PA, brother, Dennis Minar of Columbia, SC, sister, Mrs. Marie Frisch of Whitehall, PA and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 2 brothers, John and Rudy Minar and 3 sisters, Leona Gomez, Veronica Frisch and Baby Helen.

A graveside service will be held privately and at the convenience of the family in Assumption B.V.M. Cemetery. Rev. Msgr. Thomas Koons will officiate.  Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Assumption B.V.M. Roman Catholic church memorial fund.
