Francis E. "Moose" Kostecky , 78 of Bethlehem- E. Allen Twsp., PA, passed away at his home, with family by his side, on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born June 29, 1946, in Ephrata, PA, he was the son of the late Edward Kostecky and the late Josephine (Pogwist) Kostecky. He was the husband of JoAnn M. (Fatula) Kostecky with whom he would have shared 51 years of marriage this April 20, 2025.
Frank was a 1968 graduate of Villanova University, earning a BS Degree in Business Administration. He worked as an Assistant Supervisor for the PA Liquor Control Board in the Bureau of Enforcement and Licensing for 34 years until retiring in 2003. He then went to work for E. Allen Township as their Tax Collector from 2013-2017, and presently is the Township Supervisor since June 2024. Frank was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a sports enthusiast all his life. In his younger days, he coached his children in softball, baseball, and basketball. He enjoyed the game of golf, and was a member and the past president of Mahoning Valley C.C., Lehighton, PA. Throughout the years, he was a member of several dart Leagues, including the Alliance Fire Co, Northampton, PA. As an avid sports fan, he followed Villanova University basketball and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Surviving along with his wife JoAnn are daughter, Robin A. Caverly-Kelly (James) of Catasauqua, PA; son, Matthew E. Kostecky (Selina) of Ormond Beach, FL; a grandson, Andrew Wade Kostecky. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Kostecky and wife Judy, and son-in-law, Wade E. Caverly.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday April 25, 2025, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 4 South Fifth Street Coplay, PA 18037 with the Rev. Msgr. David L. James officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM prior to the Mass in the Church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with his care and arrangements.
