Franklin C. Snyder

Franklin C. Snyder , 91 of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his home with his wife by his side. Born July 4, 1932 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Franklin M. and Hilda H. (Schnecker)  Snyder. He and his wife of 58 years, Rose (Roemig) Snyder, were married on November 5, 1965.

He was a sheet metal worker for Cutler Hammer, Allentown for 44 years before retiring. Franklin was a member of Zion Stone United Church of Christ, Kreidersville and was a 1950 graduate of Allentown High School. He enjoyed spending time with his son and grandchildren, and going to his cabin in the Pocono Mountains. He liked caring for the grounds of his one acre home and working on cars. He also enjoyed drinking beer with his neighbors and watching Stock Car Races with them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeffrey L. Snyder and wife Ann of Northampton, grandson Jeffrey J. Snyder and granddaughter, Angela E. Snyder.

Services: The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM memorial service, all on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in care of the funeral home.
