Frederic W. Romig, Jr.

Frederic W. Romig, Jr. , 97 of Upper Macungie Township, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Heather Glen Senior Living. Born January 6, 1926 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Frederic W. and Helen M. (Silfies) Romig, Sr. and husband of the late Betty J. (Sobers) Romig.

Frederic honorably served in the US Navy during WW II and retiring as a Commander from the US Naval Reserves in 1986. He worked in the Market Research Department of the Bethlehem Steel Corp. and was a member of Calvary Moravian Church, Allentown. He also was a member of the Toastmasters, Lions Club and sang in a Barbershop Quartet.

He is survived by his son, Richard F. Romig of Bethlehem, PA, daughters, Sandra G. Lees of Bethlehem, PA and Robin L. Allman of Sunset Beach, NC, step-daughter, Kathy L. wife of Jamie Kline of Emmaus, step-son, Jeffrey R. Robbins and wife Lorraine of Ann Arbor MI, grandchildren, Sheila, Brittany, Jeffrey, Wesley, and Timothy, and three great grandchildren, Logan, Keira, and Leah. He was predeceased by sisters, Constance R. Kessler and Nancy J. Romig.

Services : The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Schisler Funeral Home,  2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Northampton.
