Frederick S. Jones

Frederick S. Jones, 84, of Northampton, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Monday, April 17, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Thelma A. (Kromer) Jones, who passed away in 2021. Born in Emerald on February 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Margaret A. Jones. Frederick worked as an overhead crane operator at the Bethlehem Steel Co. for 32 years before retiring.

He was a member of the Ranger Lake Rod and Gun Club of Coplay. Frederick enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars and going to the casino. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Mike Jones of Emerald, Scott and wife Lisa Jones of Slatington, and Matthew Jones and companion Nicole Wagner of Northampton (with whom Frederick resided), daughters, Tina Jones of Walnutport, Tammy wife of Kenneth Richard, Jr. of Northampton, and Holly wife of Thomas Gusick of Fogelsville, PA, brother Anthony and wife Ruth Jones of Bethlehem, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be at 1:30 PM on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
