Frederick J. Kelhart, Sr.

Frederick J. Kelhart, Sr. , of Bath, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.  Born March 1, 1941 in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Adam Kelhart and the late Anna (Kelbon) Kelhart. Fred was the loving husband of Shirley (Christman) Kelhart, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

After high school, Fred spent many years in the trucking industry and became a terminal manager before he started his own business and retired as a freelance electrical estimator in 2024. In his free time, Fred loved to play golf, especially at Woodstone and Silver Creek Country Club.

Surviving along with his wife are sons, Frederick J. Kelhart, Jr, and wife Patricia of Bethlehem, PA and Kevin Kelhart and wife Courtney of Bethlehem, PA, daughter, Barbara Ciambrone and husband Joseph of Bath, PA, sisters, Bernadine Lagana and husband Jospeh of Bethlehem, PA and Patricia Steager and husband Larry of Bath, PA, as well as, 7 grand children, and 8 great grand children. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Kelhart, and sisters, Dorothy Leiderman, and Shirley Shive.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Northampton, PA, 18067.  The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM up until the time of service.
