Frederick H. Koehler

Frederick H. Koehler, 99 of Nazareth, PA, formerly of Bushkill Twsp. - Moorestown passed away peacefully Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Morningstar Senior Living - (MHS) in Nazareth, PA. Born February 7, 1927 in Nazareth, PA, he was the son of the late Elwood J. Koehler and the late Clara (Rice) Koehler. He was the husband of Margaret (Rohn) Koehler since August 5, 2000. Prior to that he was the husband of Vera E. (Clewell) Koehler until her passing on March 8, 1998.

Fred was a graduate of Nazareth High School who continued his education pursuing a focus in the trades by attending Carpentry School through Chicago Vocational School in Allentown, PA. Fred was a self-employed Contractor for 33 years serving the Nazareth and surrounding communities until retiring in 1999. Fred was a lifetime member of Schoeneck Moravian Church, Nazareth, PA, where he served as a Board Member, Trustee, and Elder. He was a longtime member of Nazareth Rotary Club and served as the former secretary for a few years. He was also a member of the Nazareth Area Contractors Assoc., Nazareth, PA, Life member of the American Legion Post #415, Nazareth, PA, and member of the R.A.W.D. Board in Freemansburg and Bushkill. Fred also served his Country in the US Army as a PFC in the Military Police during WWII.

Surviving are sons, Brent Koehler and wife Judy of Catasauqua, PA, David Koehler and wife Eileen of Show Low, AZ, and Michael Koehler and wife Lisa of Bath, PA, daughters, Sally wife of Thomas Huber of Bath, PA, and Melissa wife of David Gillette of Bath, PA; Step-sons, Barry Jarvis and wife Sue of Nazareth, PA, Dale Jarvis and his wife Janet of Whitehall, PA, 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. 3-Step grandchildren and 2 step-great -grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Victor T. Koehler and sister, Edna Frantz.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday October 30, 2026 at Schoeneck Moravian Church, 316 N. Broad St. Ext. Nazareth, PA 18064. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064, and Friday October 30, 2026, from 10AM to 11AM in the church. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Schoeneck Moravian Cemetery, Upper Nazareth Twsp., PA.
