Frederick J. Lach

Frederick J. Lach , 90, formerly of Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday morning, March 9, 2021, at Mahoning Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton.  Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Tatar) Lach.

Frederick worked as owner/operator of the former Town Tavern, Palmerton, retiring in 1987.  He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  An Air Force Veteran of Korea, he achieved the rank of A/2c.  Frederick was a member of both American Legion Post, and the VFW Post, Palmerton.  He enjoyed fishing.

Survivors: Several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sisters, Helen Desht, Stella Dudler, Cora Lynch, Louise Laub, Veronica Yastrop, and Virginia Bartynski, and brothers, Edward, and Leo.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Interment with Military Honors, Parish's New Cemetery, Stoney Ridge Road, Palmerton.  Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
