Gary J. Shinsky

Gary J. Shinsky , 77, of 3rd Street, Palmerton, PA, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died peacefully early Wednesday morning, December 10, 2025, in his home. He was the husband of Susan A. (Malik) Shinsky since Sept 28, 1968. Born in Northampton, he was a son to the late Stephen and Marie (Romig) Shinsky.

Gary was employed by the Ceramet Foundry, Allentown, for over 30 years, retiring in 2013. He worked in general labor and later in the quality control department. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton. A 1966 graduate of the Palmerton High School, he later served in the Air Force, Vietnam, and achieved rank of SGT. Gary enjoyed caring for his home, and especially gardening and working in his yard.

Survivors: Wife. Daughter, Jennifer A. Shinsky of Palmerton. Son, Travis J. Shinsky of Palmerton. 3 grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler, and Dylan. Niece, Debra Olivia of Northampton. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors, 11:00 a.m.,  Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
