George A. Cangro, 99 of Lower Nazareth Township, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his home.

Born November 10, 1921 in Orange, New Jersey, he was the son of the late George A. and Elizabeth (Andriola) Cangro, Sr. He and his wife, Rosalie D.(Campitelli) Cangro were married on June 7, 1949.

He honorably served in the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant, and awarded six Bronze Stars during World War II and was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Bath. George was a founding member of the Elmwood Tigers Club, East Orange, NJ.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Caryn Cangro of Branchburg, NJ and Jaqueline Bartolomeo, grandchildren, Deana Matute married to Renzo, Brian Luizza married to Jeanine, Casey Luizza and Maria Oliveira, Stefanie Bartolomeo, Renae Heath married to Andrew, and Alison Boncha married to Christopher, great grandchildren, Isabella, Gennaro, Giancarlo, Marcello, Antonia, Salvatore, Brayden, Emmy, and Ava.
He was predeceased by brother, James Cangro.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, October 14, 2021 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation in care of the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home 211 East Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.
