George E. Lahr

George E. Lahr , 82, of Lehighton, PA, passed away on January 27, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA. Born May 23, 1940 in Lehighton, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Lahr and the late Beulah (Turner) Lahr. He was the husband of Judy (Behler) Lahr, with whom he shared 56 years of loving marriage.

George worked as a laborer for a number of years for Decker's Turkey Farm, New Jersey Zinc Co, Alliance Sand Quarry in Lehighton, and Encore. He enjoyed hunting, and was a member of the Bowmanstown Fire Co. as well as the East Penn Sporting Club.

Survivors: Wife.  Sons, George Lahr, Jr., of Lehighton, PA, and Ricky A. Lahr of New Jersey.  Sister, Frances Bauer of Walnutport, PA. He was predeceased by son, Steven Lahr, and 9 brothers and sisters.

Services: The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Miller Funeral Home, 137 Fairview Street-Union Hill Lehighton, Pennsylvania 18235, with the Rev.
