George A. Long

George A. Long, 85 of Forks Township, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 , at his home. Born Thursday, August 16, 1934 in Doylestown, he was the son of the late Julius and (Huber) Long and husband of Catharine A. (Hill) Long.

George honorably served in the US Army and was a carpenter in the Bucks County area for forty years. Following his years as a carpenter he worked for the Pohatgong Township Road Department for three years before retiring in 1996.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Robert and his wife Carol Long, daughter, Karla Aichele, step daughters, Cynthia and her husband Dent Follweiler , and Diane and her husband Scott Morris, brother, Clayton and his wife Connie Long, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Phillipsburg Christian Missionary Alliance, 255 Lincoln Street, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865 or the East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church, 55 Smith Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, Nazareth.
