George C. Passaro, Sr.

George C. "Tech" Passaro, Sr., 76, of Laurys Station, N. Whitehall Twp, died late Sunday evening, May 5, 2019, in his home. He was the husband of Judith D. (Royer) Passaro since June 9, 1978. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Henry and Marion (Wentz) Passaro.

George was employed as a credit analyst for Praxair Corp, Allentown, formerly GTS Welco Co., for 36 years, retiring in 2016. Previously he worked for Bonney Forge, Allentown. George was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Laurys Station. A 1960 graduate of the Dieruff High School, E. Allentown, he later went on to attend Georgia Tech. He was an Army Veteran of Vietnam, achieving rank of SP5 (T).

Surviving along with his wife are son, George C. Passaro, Jr. of Allentown, PA, daughters, Corrina M. w/o Christopher Lillis of Easton, PA and Velecia L. Passaro w/o Chad Tully of Northampton, PA, sister, Evelyn Kloiber of Allentown, PA; 2 grandchildren, Heather and Gemma and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Mark, Gordon, Joseph and John Passaro and sisters, Theresa Passaro and Pauline Lombardo.

A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville, PA on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 2:00PM.
