George A. "Sonny" Reppert, Jr.

George A. "Sonny" Reppert Jr , 84 of Northampton, PA. passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Bethlehem North Nursing and Rehab Center in Bethlehem, PA. Born April 12, 1939 in Northampton, PA, he was the son of the late George A. Reppert, Sr. and Beatrice I. (Fogelman) Reppert. He was the husband of Ruth Ann (Bacon) Hawk with whom he shared 25 years.

Sonny was a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute with a focus on transmission repairs, who immediately went to work for his father at the family business, George A. Reppert and Sons, Northampton, PA. After George Sr.'s passing, Sonny assumed ownership and has continued to operate the family business which is now in its 82 year of continued family ownership, one of the oldest family business in Northampton. Sonny was a very active Mason and member, Past Master, and Instructor of F. & A.M. Porter Lodge #284, N. Catasauqua, PA. He was also Past High Priest of Chapter #287, N. Catasauqua, PA. Sonny was a member of Mary Conclave Red Cross of Constatine. He was a 32 degree Mason with the Lehigh Consistory Valley of Allentown.

Surviving along with his wife Ruth Ann are son, Kevin A. Reppert of Northampton, PA, daughters, Andrea D. Reppert of Whitehall, PA, and Sharon Smith of S. Pasadena, FL. step-daughter, Melody Ruhf of AZ, step-son, Mark Hawk and wife Christine of Lansford, PA. 5 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother, Richard E. Reppert in 1993, sister, Chris Storch in 2004,  step-daughter, Michelle Younger and step-granddaughter, Dominique Shutt.

A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM preceded with Masonic services on Saturday February 17, 2024 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067 with the Rev. Cliffert Herring officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
