George C. Stermer, Sr.

George C. Stermer, Sr., 83, of Walnut Drive, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, PA, died peacefully early Saturday morning, April 15, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp.  He was the husband of Priscilla J. (Rehrig) Stermer since January 24, 1959.  Born in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late George W. and Mildred I. (Krapf) Stermer.

George was employed as a heavy equipment operator/loader for the former NJ Zinc Co., Palmerton, for 42 years.  He was a 1958 graduate of the Mauch Chunk High School and attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing, Palmerton.

Survivors: Wife.  Sons, Terry L. of Orlando, FL, Timothy S. of North Fork, CA, and Andrew B. of Lansford.  3 grandsons, Jason Sr., Zachary, and Marcus.  3 great-grandchildren, Caylee, Jason Jr., and Janeann.  Great-great-granddaughter, Nova.  Sister, Dorothy DeLash of Hazle Township.  Brother, Douglas M. and wife Judy of Port St. Lucie, FL.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by son, George C., Jr.  Sister, Mildred DeLash, and a brother, William.
