George M. Unangst , 82 of Danielsville, Lehigh Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021, at his home with family by his side. Born August 31, 1939 in Whitehall, PA, he was the son of the late George T. Unangst and the late Anna (Shotzberger) Unangst. He was the husband of Dolores C. (Recker) Unangst with whom he shared 58 years of marriage this August 24, 2021.
George was a Supervisor for the former Agere Systems, Allentown, PA, for 25 years before retiring in 2001. After retiring, he worked part time as a CLIU #20 Bus driver for several years. George was a longtime member of the Palmerton Lions Club and served as past Treasurer. He was a member of the Marine Corp League, Bethlehem Attachment. He was a longtime member of the BMW Motorcycle Club of America, and he and his wife achieved being members of their 100,000 miles club. He also volunteered his time with the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Police for many years. George also served his country with honor in the Marine Corps Reserves during the Vietnam War.
Survivors: Surviving along with his wife Dolores are daughter, Kayann L. Unangst of Bethlehem, PA, son, Timothy M. Unangst and wife Carolyn of Walnutport, PA, and a granddaughter, Spencer. He was predeceased by brother, David Unangst in 2019.
