Gerald J. "Jerry" Haines

Gerald J. "Jerry" Haines, 80, of Northampton, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, April 16, 2022, in his home. He was the husband of Joyce C. (Miller) Haines since Nov 19, 1960. Born in Hokendauqua, Whitehall Twp, he was a son of the late Carl and Mary (Churreta) Haines.

Jerry was last employed as an auto mechanic for Harhart's Gulf Station, Northampton for over 50 years, he also worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporate before retiring in 2009. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, spending time in the Poconos. He was a member of Tri-Boro Sportsman, Northampton, a life member of the Northampton Vol Fire Co.#1. Jerry especially loved spending time with two of his great-grandchildren, Corbin and Elli, as well as spending time with his canine companions, Annie, and Dixie.

Surviving along with his wife Joyce are, daughter, Terri A. Behler of Northampton. 5 grandchildren, Angela, Joshua (Katie), Jeremy(Laura), Jackelyn(Randy), and Brandon(Jenna). Six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons, Edward "Eddie" M. in 2012, Thomas "Tommy" G. in 1996, sister, Sylvia Haines, brothers Carl, Richard, Edward, and Ronald.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067.
