Geraldine E. Domitrovits , 89, died peacefully at home December 26, 2024. Born in Northampton to the late Raymond C. and Esther (Atherholt) Spangler, she was the second youngest of 13 siblings. On February 25, 1956, she married Joseph C. Domitrovits, Sr., and the two went on to share 68 years together, setting an example of marriage and family after which their children and grandchildren could model.

Gerry was the glue that held the whole family together, from cooking weekly family dinners for her children and their families, to helping take care of her grandchildren when they were young and hosting 'cousin sleepovers' as they got older. Even after her grandchildren were adults, Gerry always made sure they got a fresh made breakfast sandwich as thanks for helping around the house. The spreads Gerry planned for the annual Christmas Eve family get together and her and Joe's New Year's Day open house couldn't be beat.

She enjoyed polka dancing, bowling, traveling, going to casinos and spending time with family and friends. Gerry was active with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Coplay Saengerbund. She was a lifelong member of St. John's U.C.C., Howertown.

Gerry worked at Cross Country Clothes in Northampton and later at Laneco in Coplay, before retiring.

Survivors: In addition to her loving husband, Joe, Gerry is survived by three sons, Joe Jr. (Donna) of Macungie, Gary (Patti) of Northampton, and Glen (Lisa) of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Jill (Josh), Jenna (Andy), Kyle (Brittany), Eric (Lil), Mike (Danielle), and Gregory; and great-grandchildren, Stella, Noah, Becca, Cody, Lucas, Jackson, Nathan, and Claire. She is also survived by a brother, Leroy Spangler (Lola), a sister, Betty Humanick, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 10 siblings.
