Geraldine V. Snyder, 93 of Nazareth, PA. died Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Alexandria Manor Assisted Living in Nazareth. Born September 11, 1923 in Bath, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Wambold and the late Edith (Frantz) Wambold. She was the wife of the late Raymond Snyder who passed away in May 1989.
Geraldine was a homemaker all of her life caring for her family. She loved to play bingo at the Plainfield Twsp. and Bushkill Twsp. Fire Halls and the Holy Family Club in Nazareth; She was an excellent bowler, bowling for years at Blue Valley, Wind Gap and the Jacksonian in Nazareth. She was an avid swimmer, swimming daily for over 20
years at the Nazareth YMCA. She also enjoyed country and square dancing, and was fortunate to have taken and enjoyed many, many vacations throughout her years.
Surviving are daughters, Delores G. wife of Miklos Molnar, Diane I. Uhler and companion Dale Yetter, and Linda A. wife of Harry Potts all of Nazareth, PA; brothers, Grant Wambold and wife Joanne of Moore Twsp., PA, George Wambold of Bushkill Twsp., PA and Robert Wambold and wife Betty of Bushkill Twsp., PA, sisters, Mrs. Gladys Bensing of Wind Gap, PA, Mrs. Betty Muffley of Moore Twsp., PA and Mrs. Arlene Smith of Wind Gap, PA; 8 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 sisters and 3
brothers.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 24, 2016 at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center Street Nazareth, PA. 18064. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 23, 2016, and Saturday, December 24, 2016 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park- Mausoleum, Allentown, PA.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600 Doyelstown, PA. 18901 or C/O the funeral home.
