Gerry Lee Wentz

Gerry Lee Wentz , 76, of Lower Nis Hollow Drive, Lehighton, Mahoning Township, PA, died Saturday morning, March 5, 2022, in his home.  He was the husband of Dora A. (Arthur) Wentz since July 19, 1997.  Born in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late George W. and Doris (West) Wentz.

Gerry was employed in the maintenance department of Alpo-Purina Corp., Fogelsville, for many years until retirement.  He was a member of the former Lehighton Wesleyan Church where he was active in the Yoke Prison Ministry and the 12-step program.  A Navy Veteran, Vietnam Era, he achieved the rank of SA (E-2).

Survivors: Wife. Daughters, Kimberly Evert of Lehighton, Nicole wife of Duane Bleau of Richmond, VT, and Catherine wife of Donald Smale of Summit Hill.  Sons, Jeffrey Wentz of Lehighton, Darrell McFarland of Summit Hill. 10 grandchildren. 6 great-grandchildren. Brother, William Wentz of Lehighton. He was predeceased by sons, Gerry P. Wentz.  1 grandchild, 1 great-grandchild, and a sister, Donna Heckman.
