Gertrude "Trudy" K. Vanosten

Gertrude "Trudy" K. (Rebstock) VanOsten , 88, of Scenic View Lane, Lehighton, Franklin Twp., PA, died early Friday evening, March 3, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital, Carbon Campus, Lehighton.  She was the wife of the late Alfred W. VanOsten, Sr., who passed in November of 2020.  Born in Essington, Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Schettinger) Rebstock.

Trudy was employed as a statistical typist by the Chilton Publishing Co., Philadelphia, for over 15 years until retirement.  She attended People's Evangelical Congregational Church, Lehighton.  Trudy and her late husband were longtime members of the Mount Gilead Camp and Conference Center, Tannersville.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker, who enjoyed art and her ceramics.

Survivors: Son, Paul D. and wife N. Sue VanOsten with whom she resided.  Daughter, Beth Ann wife of Edmund Siuda, Jr. of Chalfont, Bucks County.  Daughter-in-law, Cynthia VanOsten of Pennsburg, Montgomery County.  9 grandchildren.  10 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by son, Alfred W., Jr. who passed in October of 2020, a sister, and 2 brothers.
