Gilda R. Scarangello

Gilda R. Scarangello, 96 of Easton, PA. passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem, PA. Born October 30, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Cardito and the late Rose (DeMaria)Cardito. She was the wife of the late Daniel J. "Donato" Scarangello, Sr. who passed away August 23, 2019.

Gilda was a high school graduate who became an Executive Secretary for the Arnison Electric Co., Manhattan New  York, NY for 11 year before retiring in 1980. Gilda was a devoted Christian who prayed the rosary daily and enjoyed watching EWTN. She found joy in gardening, crocheting, and cooking, and cherished time spent with family and friends. Gilda was a warm and loving, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother as well as a loyal friend.

Gilda is survived by her sons, John M. Scarangello and wife Carol of Nazareth, PA, Joseph Scarangello and wife Lisa of Toms River, NJ , , brother, Joseph Cardito and wife Anna of Sarasota, FL; 5 grandchildren; 6 greatgrandchildren, along with nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Daniel J., Jr. and a sister Elvira Lacarrubba.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Bartholomew-Schisler F.H., 211 E. Center St., Nazareth, PA has been entrusted with her care and arrangements.
