Gisella A. Leonard

Gisella Ann Leonard, 92 years old, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospice-Inpatient Unit, Allentown,
PA. A lifelong Coplay, PA resident, Gisella was born on April 27, 1924 in Northampton, PA. She was the daughter of
the late John and Stella Karo. Gisella was the wife of the late Joseph P. Leonard who passed away in August 1986.

Gisella was a graduate of the former Hollywood Beautician School in Allentown, PA. She owned and operated her
own Salon in Coplay for 34 years before retiring in 1986. Gisella was a long time member of St. Peter's Roman
Catholic Church in Coplay. She was a 50-year member of the St. Peter and Paul Sick & Beneficial Society,
Northampton, PA. Gisella served her country as a Specialist First Class in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Gisella had a
spark for life that will be forever missed by her family who loved her very much.

Gisella is survived by her son, Jeffrey J. Karo and wife, Patricia of Whitehall, PA; brother, John J. Karo of North
Weymonth, MA; sister, Theresa R. Kearney of Cudahy, WI; her grandchildren, Christine Julia and Jeffrey Patrick
Karo, and her five great-grandchildren, Keegan, Ava, Evan, Braden, and Ronan. She was predeceased by a
grandson, Jonathan Andrew Karo.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday March 17, 2017, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 4 South
Fifth Street, Coplay, PA 18037.

Interment will follow in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Coplay, PA. Arrangements are under the care of the Schisler
Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067.
