Gladys F. Schaffer

Gladys F. Schaffer , 95 of Seemsville, PA, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at her residence. Born April 6, 1929 in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Eldon Sterner and the late Erma (Harris) Sterner. She was the wife of the late Raymond Schaffer, for 41 years, before his passing in 1994.

Gladys graduated from Allentown High School. She then went on to be employed by the Northampton Area Jr. High School as the Head Cafeteria Cook. Gladys took great pride and joy maintaining the outside of her house, always gardening and landscaping. She was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, and in her free time she loved to play pinochle.

Survivors: daughter, Diane Schmoyer and husband Dennis of Macungie, PA, brother, Leonard Sterner, granddaughter Shannon Noska and husband Josh of Red Hill, PA, grandson Ryan Mackewen and wife Stephanie of Whitehall, PA, granddaughter Stephanie Kulp of Northampton, PA, granddaughter Tracy Mackewen of Macungie, PA, great grandson Breandon Noska, great granddaughters Emilie Noska, and Carlee and Bryanna Mackewen. She was predeceased by son, Allen Schaffer, sister, Joyce Weidner, and brothers James, Paul, and Clark Sterner.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 7:30 PM, at the Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton PA. The family will receive relative and friends from 6:00 PM up until the time of service. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery, Howertown on Friday October 18, 2024 at 11:00AM.
