Glen S. Scheirer, 88 of Whitehall, Pennsylvania died on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Muhlenberg Hospital,
Bethlehem.
Born April 27, 1929 in Egypt, he was the son of the late William and Susanna (Schultz) Scheirer. He and his wife
Barbara (Pagotto) Scheirer were married on June 2, 1990. He was predeceased by his first wife Lorraine M.
(Bendekovitz) Scheirer and second wife Barbara A. (Schafer) Scheirer.
He was an electrician for IBEW Local 375 for many years before retiring in 1991. Glen was Assistant Chief of
Whitehall Township and Chief of the Egypt Fire Company for fifty years. He was also a life member of Egypt
Memorial Park. Glen was a member of Greenleaf Lodge, No. 561, F&AM, Lehigh Consistory, Allentown and the
Rajah Temple, Reading. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Phillies, and playing cards.
In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Glen E. Scheirer of Alexandria, VA, Brad L. Scheirer and fiancé Carla
Stroh of Whitehall, William W. Scheirer and companion Stacy Callmann of Schnecksville, daughter, Glendra wife of
Kerry Engen of Rainier, OR , step-sons, Wallace Minnich and wife Marjorie of Mickleton, NJ, Brian Minnich and wife
Sharon of Palmerton, and Jeffery Minnich of North Catasauqua, sixteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service on Wednesday,
February 21, 2018, all at Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church 4331 Main St., Egypt.
Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall.
