Gordon R. "Buster" Beidleman, 80 of Schnecksville, PA. died Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born March 14, 1936 in Whitehall- Hokendauqua, PA, he was the son of the late William J. E. Beidleman and the late Arlene M. (Herb) Beidleman. He was the husband of Janis S. (Yaich) Beidleman with whom he shared 60 years of marriage this past Dec. 22, 2016.
Gordon was employed by the former Tarkett, Inc. of Whitehall, PA. as a forklift mechanic for 42 years before retiring in 1999. A member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Whitehall. He served as former President of PACE Local Union #691; Member of American Legion Post #426, Coplay, and past member of VFW Post #7293, Whitehall; Life member of Pace International Union # 20691; Life member & Board Member of Egypt Park Assoc., Whitehall; Member of U. S. Dept of Veterans Affairs. He served his country as a Corporal in the Marine Corps during the
Korean War.
Loved ones include; wife Janis; son, Brian S. Beidleman and wife Kathy of Kunkletown, PA, daughter, Karen J. wife of Brian Costenbader of Whitehall, PA, brothers, William Beidleman and wife Rosalie of Whitehall, PA, Randall Beidleman and wife Linda of Allentown, PA, Terry Beidleman and wife Linda of Austinville, VA, David Beidleman and wife Shirlrey of Litchfield Park, AZ, Kim Beidleman and wife Renee of Northampton, PA, Jeffery Beidleman and wife Lisa of Old Town, FL; Sisters; Mrs. Etheleen Wasko of Kyle, TX, Judith wife of Mark Hills of Laury's Station, PA, Sharon wife of Robert McFetridge of Whitehall, PA, 7 grand children; 1 great-grandson. He was predeceased by 3 brothers; Billy, Robert, Barry, and 3 Sisters; Betty Lou Balla, Sandra Zbaudin, and Rosemarie Heckman.
A Funeral service with military honors will be held at 8:00 PM on Monday February 13, 2017 at Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church - Egypt, 4331 Main St. Whitehall, PA. 18052. The Rev. James W. Schlegel will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM prior to the services in the church. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
