Gordon "Gordy" D. Shupp

Gordon "Gordy" D. Shupp , 65, of Columbia Avenue, Palmerton, PA, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2022, in his home.  He was the husband of Victoria M. (Martin) Shupp since September 29, 1996.  Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late George C. and Marie A. (Dubrowsky) Shupp.

Gordy was owner/operator for G.D. Shupp Construction Co., Palmerton.  Previously, he was a roofer for over 20 years until opening his own business with his wife, the former "Hobbie Dogs" at the corner of 3rd Street and Delaware Avenue, Palmerton.  Gordy was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Palmerton.  He graduated from the Palmerton High School and the Carbon County Vo-Tech, Jim Thorpe, studying auto mechanics.  His love of autos was a part of his life, especially attending car shows.

Survivors: Wife. Stepdaughter, Hope wife of Donald Goener of Arlington, TX.  Stepson, Ronnie Egloff and wife Michelle Dunn of Mount Bethel.  2 grandchildren. Several great-grandchildren.  Brother, George B. Shupp of Spotsylvania, VA.  Aunt, Helen E. Shupp of Glendora, NJ.  Cousins, Atwood J. Shupp of Glencora, NJ, Brenda Shupp Briggs of Riverdale, MD, Colleen Stoltz of Easton, Linda M. Torkos of Hellertown, John Shupp Beers of Pompano, FL, and Ruth Geuss of Avon Park, FL.  He was predeceased by brother, Daniel K. Doroskio, sister-in-law, Patricia (Geitz) Shupp, and cousins, William H. Beers, Arlene M. Conover, and Jane E. Beers.
