Gregory P. Steinmetz , 39, of Forest Street, Lehighton, Towamensing Twp., PA, died suddenly Thursday afternoon, August 8, 2024, in Towamensing Twp., Carbon County. Born in Palmerton, he was a son to Paul W. and Ann G. (Gorczyca) Steinmetz of Lehighton.
Gregory worked as a self-employed landscaper for many years. He attended St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Palmerton. A 2003 graduate of the Palmerton High School, he later graduated from Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville, with an AAS in Computer Science. He served as a soccer referee for several years in the region and also assisted in the church pyrohy fundraising program. Gregory enjoyed fishing, playing soccer, camping, skiing, and ceramics.
Survivors: Parents. Maternal grandmother, Muriel "Judy" (Seip) Gorczyca of Lehighton. Sister, Bryana L. and companion Michael Kern of Palmerton. Brother, Matthew A. of Palmerton. Nieces, Makayla, and Marissa. Nephews, Conner, and Matthew. Aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Companion with whom he resided, Angela Fritzinger of Lehighton.
