Gregory D. Strohl, 60, of Princeton Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Saturday morning, December 3, 2016, at Blue Mountain Health Systems, Lehighton Campus. He was the husband of Terri D (Ziegler) Strohl since July 13, 2002. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Luther M., Sr. and Vermaine (Zellner) Strohl.
An avid handyman and builder, Gregory was employed by various companies throughout the region, including, Paris Accessories in Walnutport, The Service Team in Forest Inn, the former NJ Zinc Company in Palmerton, The Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Salisbury Township, and Godiva Chocolates in Fogelsville Cold Storage.
He was a Lutheran, and attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing. Gregory enjoyed cooking, and working in his vegetable garden.
Survivors: Wife, Terri. Sons, Christopher M. and wife Christina of Hanover, Connecticut, Jason A. and fiancée, Melanie Miller of Nesquehoning, Cory M. Ziegler and companion, Jennifer Wertman of Palmerton. 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn, and Zoey. Sisters, Florence Anthony, JoAnn M. Smith, both of Palmerton, Marian Strohl of Lehighton, Barbara Johnson of Myerstown. Brothers, Ronald and wife Donna, Rickie and wife Justine, all of Lehighton, Edward and wife Tony of Bowmanstown. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Bonnie Wentz, and a brother, Luther M., Jr.
Services are at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
