Gregory J. Wetherhold, Sr., 73, of Cherryville, Lehigh Twp, died late Friday evening, Oct 5, 2018, at VNA Hospice, St. Luke's, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Linda J. (Fenstermaker) Wetherhold who passed in 1997. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late George and Althea (Gehris) Wetherhold.
Gregory was employed by Carlisle Trucking, Fogelsville, for 14 years, retiring in 2017. Previously, he was employed in the same capacity by C & K Carriers, Walnutport. He was also former co-owner and operator of the Klecknersville Hotel, Moore Twp. An avid hunter, he was a social member of the Alliance Vol Fire Hall, and Liederkrantz, both of Northampton. Gregory enjoyed spending time at and was the honorary supervisor of the Cherryville Turkey Hill.
Survivors: daughter, Kelly J. wife of Richard F. Ackerman of Northampton. son, Gregory J., Jr. of Cherryville. grandchildren, Lindsey and Matthew. sister, Mary wife of Nevin Maury of Allentown. brother, Charles and wife Dorothy of Sanford, FL. several nieces and nephews.
Services: Call, 7-8:30PM Thursday, Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. Private Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Cherryville Road, Northampton.
