Gunter F. Thomas

Gunter F. Thomas , 87, of Creeks Edge Road, Oley, Berks County, PA, died Saturday morning, March 16, 2024, in his home.  He was the husband of Mrs. R. Anne (Tisiker) Thomas.  Born in Furstenau, Germany, he was a son of the late Fritz and Johanna (Burmeister) Thomas.

Gunter was employed by the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD, as a medical research scientist.  An avid cyclist, he participated nationally in many professional races and tours.

Survivors: Wife.  Daughter, Florentine with Andrew Holbrook of Burgaw, NC.  Son, Michael and wife Sunday Thomas of Laurel, MD.  Brother, Christian Thomas of Germany.  Nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Lilo, and a brother, Walter.
