Gunther C. Kurrasch

Gunther C. "Chuck" Kurrasch, 53 of Whitehall, PA, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Born October 21, 1968 in Manhattan, New York, he was the son of Gunther F. Kurrasch and Linda D. (Rummel) Kurrasch of Allentown, PA.

Chuck was a 1986 graduate of Whitehall High School, who went on to further his education earning a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and graduating from Misericordia University, Dallas, PA in 1992. Chuck was last working for Diamonex, Inc., Fogelsville, PA as a computer programmer. Chuck was very good with computers and tutored many classmates while attending Misericordia University. His inventiveness, technical foresight, and creativity he saw as a gift from God. Chuck was a longtime member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, Whitehall, PA where he was a former member in the Church's Boy Scout Troop #32, earning his Eagle Scout Award in 1986. Chuck enjoyed and loved the outdoors.

Surviving along with parents are, brother, Frederick R. Kurrasch of Breinigsville, PA, uncle, Fred Rummel of Whitehall, PA, and cousins, Tom and Andrea.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday July 29, 2022 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road Whitehall, PA 18052, with the Rev. Peggy Wuertele officiating. Friends and family may call Thurs. July 28, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM and Friday July 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of service, both in the Church. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall, PA. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with his care and arrangements.
