Harvey A. Smale

Harvey A. Smale , 102, of Tamaqua, PA, passed on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital - Miner's Memorial Campus in Coaldale, PA. Born Sunday, January 30, 1921 in Palmerton, he was the son of the late William Smale and the late Mae (Meixsell) Smale. He was the husband of the late Myrtle (Christman) Smale.

Harvey spent his life as a laborer, employed by New Jersey Zinc Co.. He worked there for over 45 years before retiring in 1986. Harvey attended St. Matthew's United Church of Christ in Kunkletown, and was involved and attended shoots at the Bowmanstown, Beaver Run, and Palmerton Gun Clubs.

Survivors: Brothers, Herman Smale of Aquashicola, and Earl Smale of Jim Thorpe.  Sister, Doris and husband Harley Serfass of Yardley.  Many  nieces and nephews, He was predeceased by brothers, Roy Smale, Clarence Smale, and Kenneth Smale, and sisters Mildred Christman and Florence Smale.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton PA, 18071, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in St. Matthew's Union Church Cemetery, Kunkletown.  Oline condolences may be made to the family at www.schislerfuneralhomes.com
