Helen M. Keeney, 85 of Northampton, PA. died Tuesday, August 9, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at Lehigh
Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, PA. Born January 9, 1931 in Northampton, she was the daughter
of the late John Marakovits and the late Mary (Stubits) Marakovits. She was the loving wife to William J. Keeney,
with whom she shared 60 years of marriage this past May 26, 2016.
Helen was employed by the former Western Electric, Allentown as a Clean Room Technician for 20 years before
retiring in 1993. She also worked part time as a banquet waitress for the Holiday Inn - West, Allentown for 10 years.

Surviving along with her husband are son, Joseph Keeney, Sr. and wife Ann of Easton, PA, daughters, Jane M. wife
of James Nemeth of Northampton, PA, Eileen M. wife of Gregory Wasson of Bethlehem, PA and Mary Lisa wife of
Trevor Stone, Sr. of Northampton, PA, brothers, John Marakovitz of Northampton, PA, Joseph Marakovits and wife
Cindy of Bethlehem, PA and James Marakovits and wife Carol of Northampton, PA, sisters, Ann wife of John
Feichtel of Northampton, PA and Theresa wife of Gary Renner of Northampton, PA; 14 grandchildren; Gina,
Jonathan, Lauren, Brianna, Jared, Joseph, Jr., Gabrielle, Marisa, Trevor, Jr., Emily, Jessica, Joshua, Addison, and
Rachael; 2 Great-Grandchildren; William and Jocelyn. She was predeceased by son, Robert Keeney, brother,
Stephen Marakovits, sister, Mrs. Mary Schwartz.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday August 16, 2016 at Queenship of Mary
Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067, with the Rev. Patrick Lamb officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Monday, August 15, 2016, and August 16, 2016 from
8:45am to 9:45am both at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. 18067. Interment
will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton, PA.
