Henry W. Lerch

Henry W. Lerch , 77, of Wynnewood Drive, Northampton, Allen Twp, died peacefully late Tuesday evening April 11, 2023, at LVH Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Janice F. (Wieand) Lerch since June 20, 1964. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Clarence C. and Hilda (Souder) Lerch.

Henry was employed as project manager by the former M C Ironworks, Bath, later Michelman-Cancelliere Ironworks, Inc., Bath. He had a very impressive career in the steel business for over 50 plus years. Henry was a member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, where he volunteered on church council for several years. He received his associates degree from the Agricultural Technology College at Alfred State University, Alfred, NY. Years ago, he participated as little league baseball coach, and he was an avid NASCAR Fan. Henry was a member and former treasurer of Lost In The 50s Car Club, Macungie, enjoying his 1964 Super Sport Chevelle.Tech. Henry's biggest joy in life was being a a loving husband, and an understanding and proud father. His granddaughters were the greatest joy of his heart.

Survivors: wife. daughter, Donna M. Oehlbeck of Bethlehem. sons, Robert H. of Whitehall, Thomas M. and wife Sheryl of Soddy Daisy, TN. granddaughters, Megan R. Oehlbeck, and Leah V. Lerch. sister, Marion Kuhns of Hellertown. nieces and nephews, Susan and Thomas Szczepanski, Bill and Sue Severn, Woody and Debbie Haas.

Services: 11:00AM Wednesday, April 19 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2700 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, 18017. Call, 10-11:00AM Wednesday in church.
