Herbert E. Heller

Herbert E. Heller , 97 of Macungie, PA., formerly of Allentown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Complete Care in Macungie, PA. Born May 4, 1926 in Lower Nazareth Twsp., PA, he was the son of the late Frank Heller and the late Emma (Laubach) Heller. He was the husband of the late Olympia "Lee"  (Magliane) Heller who passed away in May 2003.

Herbert was last employed as the Store Manager for VIA Thrift Stores, Allentown, PA for 9 years before retiring in 1991. Prior to he work in the same capacity for the former Gouldner / Climax Women's Fashions, Allentown for 26 years. Herbert was a member and elder of Dryland UCC Church, Newburg, PA. He was a Life Member of the Hecktown Volunteer Fire Co. in L.Naz.Twsp., a former member & past secretary (5yrs) & past Treasurer (25yrs) for the former Confident Lodge #1133 I.O.O.F. of Hecktown, PA. He was also a 50 year member of Howard L. Peter American Legion Post #576, Allentown, PA. Herbert served his country as a PFC in the US Army during WWII.

He is survived by nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 brothers; Marvin, Walter, Harold, and Stanley and a son.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday October 9, 2023 at Dryland U.C.C. Church - Newburg, 4415 Newburg Road Nazareth, PA. 18064. Family and friends may call from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment with military honors will follow in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown, PA. Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center St., Nazareth, PA 18064 has been entrusted with his care and services.
