Herminia Punales

Herminia (Lopez) Punales, 90 of Macungie, formerly of Nazareth, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township.

Born December 24, 1930 in Havana, Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Serafin and Gumersinda (Fernandez) Lopez and wife of the late Evelio T. Punales.

She became a Registered Nurse in Cuba at the age of 23, and continued to work as a Nurse in the United States until she retired.

She is survived by her daughter, Ana Maria Punales, three grandchildren, and six nephews. She was one of five children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church 134 S. Fifth Street, Easton, Pennsylvania. Interment will be at 1:15 PM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of the Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 East Center Street, Nazareth, PA 18064.
